CompanyCRYPT® is an add-on encryption module specifically designed to fully integrate into any MIMEsweeper for SMTP 4x or 5x environment without the need for additional hardware and with minimal impact on e-mail throughput, and enables organizations to easily enforce policy driven encryption and signing of their e-mail communications.
CompanyCRYPT’s tight integration ensures that all inbound and outbound encrypted e-mail traffic is fully scanned for content violations as well as for malware and spam. And the Ad Hoc Encryption feature within CompanyCRYPT provides an easy way to send encrypted messages instantly to any organization - even if they don’t have encryption technology themselves.
CompanyCRYPT supports the internationally accredited encryption standards OpenPGP and S/MIME and lets you encrypt e-mail communications from MS Outlook, Thunderbird and Lotus Notes clients.
How does it work?
The processing of incoming and outgoing e-mail is controlled by MIMEsweeper’s policy routing rules with CompanyCRYPT handling the encryption and signing functions.
Incoming encrypted/signed e-mail traffic is identified by the CompanyCRYPT module and automatically decrypted/verified. The decrypted e-mail is then scanned by the MIMEsweeper content policy engine. Outgoing e-mail is encrypted and signed automatically after the MIMEsweeper policy and content inspection is carried out.
Besides the personal signing and encryption of e-mail CompanyCRYPT also allows signing with a company key, much like an internal post office. This prevents misuse of your e-mail addresses and brand (Phishing) and improves the level of trust when exchanging e-mail messages with partners.
