Clearswift maintains growth strategy momentum in first quarter
London, 28th July 2009 – Clearswift announces financial results for the first quarter of the fiscal year, ending March 31st, 2010.
In this first quarter (April – June 2009), Clearswift billings were 107% of plan, with billings for the Clearswift Web and Email Appliances up 50% year on year. Additionally 30% of all new transactions were for combined Email and Web Appliances with customers reaping cost, management and deployment benefits from our integrated web and email security technology. As a global business Clearswift saw strong performances in the Asia Pacific, Central Europe and the UK.
“The performance of the business continues on the upward path that we had planned for, and maintains consistent momentum,” said Richard Turner, Chief Executive. “Our core strategies remain on track - appliance sales are up, renewals with existing customers have exceeded targets and there is an increasing trend of securing business through multi-year agreements, signaling strengthened commitment from our customers.”
